Sunday the 28 – 24th Annual Keepers Banquet to be held in the Crows’ Nest at the Sea Isle City Yacht Club , 4487 Venicean Road, Sea Isle City, NJ 08242. Agenda: 10:30 – 11:30 AM Set up; 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Meeting; 12:30 – 2 PM Banquet buffet, raffle, door prizes, Yard Sail; 2 PM Guest speaker Dr. Anthony Waskie, (aka General George Gordon Meade) History Professor from Temple University —Topic: “Meade and New Jersey Lighthouses”. Saturday & Sunday the 1st (11 AM – 4 PM) & June 2nd (1 – 4 PM) – Bay Days at East Point & Bay Days at Bay Shore Project, Port Norris & Bivalve, NJ

Summer Picnic Meeting – (Date, time & place TBA)

July:

Saturday the 20th – The 4 hour cruise to Ship John Shoal and points north leaving at 4 PM from NJ State Marina (Higbee’s ) in Fortescue, NJ (Once known as “The Weakfish Capital of the World”)

The cost for the cruises is $45 for adults and $20 for children 5 - 12 years of age. Passengers must be at the dock at least one half hour before departure time. Lighthouses visited are: Miah Maull, Cross Ledge, Elbow of Cross Ledge, Fourteen Foot Bank and either Brandywine or Ship John. Harbor of Refuge is included in the 5 hour cruise on August 3. You are asked to bring bug spray (just in case), a jacket and a box lunch if you wish. Soda and water are provided.

We must have a home & cell phone number for you in case of a cancellation OR you can call any of the above numbers. Refunds WILL NOT be made if you DO NOT let us know you WILL NOT be there. Payment is due 2 weeks BEFORE the cruise, checks can be mailed to: Maxine Mulligan, Treasurer, 1049 Simca Terrace, Vineland, NJ 08360.

There are former lighthouse keepers and members of the coast guard aboard these cruises to narrate and answer your questions. Background information on the Delaware Bay and the history of each lighthouse will be given. Spend some time on the historic Delaware Bay viewing the lighthouses and the beautiful sunset…excellent “photo ops”. Come cruise with us. Stop by the Charlesworth Inn & Hotel for a great dining experience, 224 NJ Ave., Fortescue, NJ 08321 856-447-4928. Open Sundays Noon – 7 PM; Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 4 – 9 PM.

August:
