The Delaware Bay Lighthouse Keepers and
Friends Association was founded in 1995. Our goals are to bring together
former Keepers, their relatives and friends, Coast Guard and any individuals who
truly care about the preservation and upkeep of Lighthouses and particularly our
historic Delaware Bay and River Lights.
We meet four times a year at various
locations with dates, locations and speakers to be announced on the website and
in our quarterly newsletter. One meeting will be our annual picnic and
another will be our annual reunion dinner.
Annual dues are
$25.00 for a membership. Dues
are payable in March of each year and are used to defray operating costs,
newsletter publication and mailings. Each year, we will make donations
to worthy organizations promoting preservation of lighthouses and our maritime
heritage.
As a member, you are entitled to receive
four issues of "The Bay Run" a year. The newsletters
will keep you informed as to what is going on in your organization. Each issue features unique stories and other articles about lighthouses, the Delaware Bay and the South Jersey and Delaware areas. You will also
enjoy many old Delaware Bay Lighthouse photographs and photos of the Keepers.
All contributions to the newsletter
such as photos, stories, and articles are gladly accepted! You are encouraged to
join even if you are unable to attend a meeting or special event. You will
still enjoy "The Bay Run," available exclusively to
members!
To join, use the membership form and mail it along with your check or money order
made payable to DBLHKFA to MaryAnne Walker at the address at the bottom of the
form.
